Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how EverythingTool (everythingtool.in), operated by GJDesigns (“we”, “us”), collects, uses and protects information when you use our website. We process personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws.

1. Data you enter into our tools

Our calculators and text/developer tools run entirely in your web browser. Values you enter — such as salary, loan amounts, JSON, tokens or passwords — are processed on your device and, unless you choose to save them to an account (see below), are not transmitted to or stored on our servers. Tools that require server processing (for example, file compression) will state this clearly on the tool page, and uploaded files are deleted automatically within one hour.

1A. Accounts and saved documents

An account is optional. If you create one, we store your name, email address and a securely hashed password (we never store or see your actual password). When you choose Save to my account in the invoice generator, expense claim form, invitation card maker or resume builder, we store the details you entered in that tool — for example business and customer details, expense items, invitation text or your resume — so you can open them again on any device. Photos added to invitation cards are never uploaded. We sign you in with a secure, HTTP-only session cookie.

An account is needed to download from the MP3 cutter, reel maker and WhatsApp status maker. For security we keep a history of sign-ins to your account: the time, whether it was a sign-in or a new account, where on the site it happened, and your device type and browser family. It doesn't include your IP address, is deleted after 180 days, and is deleted immediately with your account. You can see your own recent sign-ins under Account settings.

We also store your plan (Basic or Pro) and, if you choose “Notify me when Pro launches”, the date you joined the waitlist, so we can email you once about Pro. You can change your name, email and password at any time under your account.

We use this information only to provide your account and saved documents. It isn't used for advertising and isn't shared or sold. You can delete individual documents at any time, and you can permanently delete your account and all saved documents from the My documents page. Deletion takes effect immediately; residual copies in encrypted backups are overwritten within 30 days.

AI suggestions in the resume builder

When you ask for an AI suggestion in the resume builder (for example “Write with AI”), we send the parts of your resume needed for that request — job titles, companies, dates, bullet points, education, skills and any job description you pasted — to Anthropic, which provides the Claude AI model, and return its answer to you. We never send your name, email address, phone number, location or links. We don't store the text you send, and Anthropic does not use data sent through its API to train its models. AI suggestions need an account and are limited per day. The rest of the resume builder works entirely in your browser — including reading a resume you upload, which never leaves your device. If you choose “Organise sections with AI”, the text of that resume is sent with your name, email, phone number and links removed.

Presentation maker AI, picture search and GST lookups

If you use Write with AI in the presentation maker, the topic, audience and notes you type are sent to Anthropic (the Claude AI model) to draft the slides; we don't store them, and Anthropic doesn't use API data to train its models. Find a photo searches Openverse directly from your browser. When you look up a GSTIN's registration details, the GSTIN is sent to our GST data provider (GSTINCheck) and the public registration details returned are cached on our server for up to 7 days; the lookup is linked to your account only to apply the daily limit.

Video tools: auto captions and the music library

The video maker, reel maker, status maker and video merger process your photos, videos and audio entirely in your browser. Auto captions run an AI speech model (Whisper) on your device: the model file is downloaded once from Hugging Face and cached by your browser, and your audio is never uploaded. When you search the music library, your search words go to our server, which looks them up on Openverse (openverse.org) and relays the track you preview or pick; we don't link searches to your account.

2. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting and content delivery providers log technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and referring site. We use this to keep the site secure and working.

Our activity log

To understand which tools are useful and to improve them, we keep our own activity log of page views and tool actions (for example “downloaded a PDF from the JPG to PDF tool”). Actions include starting to use a tool, choosing a file (only its type, how many and a rough size — never its name or contents), copying or sharing a result (which button, not the result), using AI features or a GST lookup (whether it worked), searching for tools (only how many tools matched, never the words), sending the contact form, and clicking a tool, guide or external service link. Each entry contains the page address without any query string, the tool and action, your device type and browser family, the website that referred you, the time, a random visitor ID stored in your browser, and a session ID that changes after 30 minutes of inactivity. If you're signed in, entries are linked to your account.

The activity log never contains what you type or upload into our tools, the files you create, or your IP address. Entries are deleted automatically after 180 days, and when you delete your account every entry linked to it is deleted too. We don't record activity from browsers that send a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, and you can clear the visitor ID at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

3. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate (for example, which tools are most popular). The same tool actions listed above are sent to Google Analytics as events, with the same limits on what they contain. We may also use Microsoft Clarity to understand usability through heatmaps and anonymised session recordings. These services use cookies or similar technologies. Clarity masks text entered into input fields by default. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.

4. Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

We also store a small preference in your browser's local storage to remember whether you chose light or dark mode. You can clear cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings.

5. How we use information

We use the information above to operate and improve the site, measure which tools are useful, prevent abuse, and show advertising that funds the tools. We do not sell personal data.

6. Contacting us

When you send a message through our contact form or by email, we store your name, email address, message and (if you choose one) the related tool, so we can read and answer it. If you're signed in, the message is linked to your account. We use these details only to respond to you — never for marketing — and delete contact-form messages automatically after 12 months.

7. Children

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of or erasure of personal data we hold about you, and you may withdraw consent where processing relies on it. To make a request or raise a grievance, email support@gjdesigns.in.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the date above will be updated.
