How to make a PowerPoint presentation online

  1. Pick a theme and slide size (widescreen 16:9 for screens and projectors, 4:3 for older projectors).
  2. Click Create from an outline and paste your points — or edit the example slides one by one.
  3. Or click Write with AI, describe your topic and paste any facts or figures — the AI drafts every slide and the speaker notes.
  4. For each slide, choose a layout: Title, Section, Bullets, Two columns, Picture, Quote or Chart.
  5. Add photos (your own, or Creative Commons photos with Find a photo) and charts from your data.
  6. Add speaker notes for what you want to say.
  7. Click Download PowerPoint (.pptx) and open it in PowerPoint, Google Slides or Keynote.

Tips for a clear presentation

  • Keep to 3–6 points per slide, and a few words per point — you explain the rest aloud.
  • Use section slides to break a long talk into parts, so the audience knows where you are.
  • Put numbers and results on their own slide; one big figure is easier to remember than a table.
  • Write what you'll say in the speaker notes — PowerPoint's presenter view shows them only to you.

Everything runs in your browser. Present faster with the PowerPoint shortcut keys, or turn slides exported as images into a handout with JPG to PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit the presentation in PowerPoint afterwards?

Yes. The download is a normal .pptx file with real text boxes, so you can edit every word, change fonts and add animations in PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote or LibreOffice Impress.

How do I create slides from an outline?

Click “Create from an outline” and type or paste your points. A line starting with # starts a new slide, ## makes a section divider, > makes a quote slide, and “Notes:” adds speaker notes. Other lines become bullet points — indent them for sub-points.

Can AI write the presentation for me?

Yes. Click “Write with AI”, type your topic and, optionally, your notes and figures. The AI drafts the slides, speaker notes, photo ideas and a chart in English or an Indian language. It's included with sign-in (a daily limit applies). It only uses numbers you give it — any example chart is marked as sample data to replace.

Can I add pictures and charts?

Yes. On a Picture slide, upload your own photo or use “Find a photo” to search Creative Commons photos; the credit line is added automatically. Chart slides make real PowerPoint charts (column, bar, line, pie, doughnut) from rows you type or paste from Excel, so you can still edit them in PowerPoint.

Is my presentation uploaded anywhere?

No. Slides are created in your browser, and the text is remembered on this device so you can continue later (pictures are not stored). Only if you use Write with AI are your topic and notes sent to the AI to draft the slides.
